About
INTERIOR DESIGN
Carlos Antonio started his professional design career at the age of 19 as a stylist at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills. It is there where he developed his affinity for design and collaborating creatively with others. Industry professionals took notice and introduced Carlos to the world of residential and commercial interior design. After assisting noted designers with commercial and residential spaces, Carlos developed his signature style of composition and his own client base.
This led him to become the Design Director for the Diva Group in Southern California, which houses collections by some of the finest European, contemporary lines such as Cassina, B&B Italia, and Maxalto. Separately, Carlos has designed numerous noted residential and work/office spaces. Trained in Italy under the Cassina family, Carlos developed a refined contemporary aesthetic with an appreciation for antique and vintage pieces. He incorporates organic elements with clean modern lines, evoking the fundamentals of the Bauhaus movement. Carlos’ clients have dubbed his style “contemporary with soul”. Carlos’s distinctive art compositions in his own projects led him to curate art and objects for other Interior Designers and collaborate with The Broad museum. The CARLOS ANTONIO/ galleries are an extension of Carlos’s fervent love of art, sculpture, and objects. The galleries are thoughtfully curated spaces where all the work created by the artists is exhibited in a harmonious cohesion.
JEWELRY
Starting in 2002 while attending The Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Carlos Antonio began to create one of a kind jewelry pieces for stylists and clients such as Orlando Bloom, Ricky Martin, Tim McGraw, Jason Mraz and Jessica Simpson.
Carlos maintains his own boutique jewelry collection under the Carlos Antonio brand. His ability to emulate from other’s sensibilities and making it his own has led him to collaborate with design houses such as B. Scott and Charlie by Matthew Zink. His unique interpretation of his jewelry is influenced by his love for interior design and architecture.
